Kiyosu Park

Statue Park
Address 3-7-1 Kiyosu, Kiyosu-shi
Information -
Profile Kiyosu Park is located across the Gojo River from Kiyosu Castle. Originally built in 1922, the park was renovated in March 1999. Today old trees spread their branches among younger trees, deepening the park's greenery.
A bronze statue standing on a rise in the park facing Okehazama depicts Oda Nobunaga in 1560 at age 26 as he sets out for the great battle that he won there. A restoration performed during the park's renovation has recaptured the unique luster of the statue's bronze, giving Oda a gallant appearance.
This grassy plaza interspersed with trees is an excellent place for rest and relaxation.

Preserved as the location of Kiyosu Castle from the “Moving of Kiyosu” in 1610 until the present day, the site has two monuments erected at the end of the Edo period commemorating the castle as well as a small shrine honoring Oda Nobunaga. An Oda Nobunaga Commemorative Festival is held in front of the shrine on June 2 every year (Oda's birthday) to praise this local hero.
